Necrophilia vs. Bestiality

Sorry to disappoint you folks, but this is a wholesome post. This will be my review for the movie New Moon. LOL.

I finally watched the movie yesterday and all I could think of was how buff Taylor Lautner is!! O - M - GEEE!!! I guess the best thing about it is there are no silly school girls screaming in the movie house. I love love love the effects!!

Most of the important scenes were already shown in promotional clips (youtube, hello!!) So there really wasn't anything to watch anymore. Edward fans would crucify me for this but for me.... bestiality wins! I'm a sucker for bad boys =D.

I love Jacob because:
  1. He's hot. Literally hot. If you live in a place where it's really cold, then having a hot boyfriend is a must.
  2. He's big! I'm a tall girl and I really need somebody big to carry me. LOL
  3. He's witty. He can really make me laugh.
  4. He's playful. I need that in life. I don't want to grow old prematurely!!
  5. He's loyal.

Ok, Edward has his own plus points... and he's meant for Bella. They belong together. I love Edward for Bella. Jacob is mine! LOL

Edited to add:

Bella and Edward, seems like they both came from Buntong-Hininga School of Acting.  >.<

Twilight Mania

I know, I know...I'm too old for this kind of ... uhmm... stuff.

Twilight was just released here about a week or so ago. I've heard that it's good. It's supposed be very romantic. I've also read Stephanie Meyer's name in one of the forums that I frequent. (Hello Girltalk!!) I didn't really paid much attention to any of it. I mean, it's just a movie. It's just a book.

One ordinary day, my friends decided to watch Twilight. I had nothing to do so I dragged my cousin and we all went together. It was a holiday then, so imagine the chaos in front of the cinema. Parang perya lang! The movie starts in less than 5 minutes. It's time for a game plan. Divide and conquer, that's what we did. I went to the concession stand to get food, of course, and they took care of the tickets.

Seats were almost gone. We were just 9 rows away from the screen. Kamusta naman ang byahilo? Slutty teens Girls started screaming as soon as Edward Cullen appeared on screen. I was like, "wha???!". I wasn't impressed by his pasty look and prominent jaw. Sa totoo lang napangitan ako sa kanya. The shrieking harpies continued to annoy me everytime the male lead would appear. Sarap pagbabatuhin ng sapatos.

Anyhow, as the story progressed, they kind of ... grew on me. May kilig factor naman din pala talaga. At the end of the movie, kinikilig na din ako! This movie is cursed.

I got so addicted to it, I bought all four books. Read two of them in 3 days. I had to eat and sleep too. Hindi naman ako bampayar! There are lots of differences in the movie and the book. I like the book-Bella than the one in the movie. Mas funny si Bella sa book. But I can't imagine anybody else to play Edward Cullen. Robert Pattinson did a good job on this one, I think. Tho, I don't like Rob. I love him when he is in character. I like him when he is Cedric Diggory or Edward. HA!

I better get back to my reading. I'm on the last book.

P.S. I Love You

It's a 2007 film starring Gerard Butler (King Leonidas, 300.. I didn't know he was a lawyer before *swoon*) and Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby).

It's such a beautiful heartbreaking movie. It made me laugh (I love the accent, and Gerard's dancing antics) but it made me cry even more. I love it to bits.

After the movie, Honeycured said:

"o ano, masakit na naman puso mo? Dapat sayo hindi nanonood ng mga ganyan, iyak ka lang ng iyak. Dapat ako lang nagpapasakit ng puso mo..."

"!@#$!!" --- my reply.

In fairness, he hugged me really tight and long enough until I cried myself to sleep.

Mamma Mia!

Mamma Mia! premiered in Dubai last week. The boyfriend and I had free tickets (courtesy of my boss).

He wasn't really excited to see this movie and to be frank, the only reason why I asked for the tickets is just to grab the opportunity of watching something for free.
http://planetsmilies.net/kaos-not-tagged-smiley-4699.gif

We came early. Not that it was intentional. (Un)fortunately the roads were clear that night. So we waited for a while and made our way to the concession stand.

Nachos, our only consolation for this night out, is out of stock. So I just grabbed a bucket of caramel popcorn and soda instead. The boyfriend didn't even bother to eat anything at all.

Once inside the cinema, we took our seats and comfortably sat in silence. That didn't last for long. People started coming in and you can feel excitement and anticipation in the air. I continued munching my popcorn.

As soon as the first scene flashed in the big screen, the lady beside me started singing along with Sophie. I wouldn't have minded that much if only she had chewed gum first!

I guess most of the people here are not yet used to "musicals". Or at least the crowd that night wasn't. Most of them started walking out of the theater 10 minutes later. Some of them would laugh out loud at every scene.

But I must admit, I found myself silently singing Mamma Mia!; Money money money, Chiquitita and every other ABBA song. People actually sang Dancing Queen.

It was an enjoyable movie. But there was something off for me. Streep was ok, but I'd have to agree with this:

Streep has a sweet voice and knows how to use it but it’s sad to watch a perfectionist remove part of her brain and try to convince us she’s having a jolly time.

It just didn't do it for me. But I'd still give the movie thumbs up.

Oh by the way, I caught the boyfriend sleeping during the film. LOL!

Oh Carrie

I've never been a fan of SATC. As far as I can remember, BIG is a jerk. Carrie loves Big. Big hurts Carrie. Carrie still loves Big.
Samantha loves sex. Charlotte is perky. Miranda is a lawyer.

LOL!! I don't even know their stories. I'm not a fan. period. But with all the hype and publicity of the movie, I got curious. So I googled it, read reviews about it and watched it.

The part where Big didn't want to go in (no sexual implications here, ok?) really got to me. I was like crying here...

MAJOR SPOILER - Don't play this if you haven't watched the movie.

If I were Carrie, I wouldn't have dropped the phone. I would have shouted and cried and begged and who knows what. I would have made a total ass of myself.

I would have also beaten Big to death. Or, bring him to the ceremony. Make him wait. I walk the aisle. Enjoying "my" moment, then just run out of the door. Just like Julia Roberts in The Runaway Bride.

Also, look at Charlotte's reaction. I love it! I wonder if any of my friends would do that... they're too diplomatic. They'd probably make me talk to Big and try to patch things up. Oh well.

Heartbreak Kid

We watched Ben Stiller's new movie, Heartbreak Kid, last week.
I didn't know that this is a remake of an old movie until right this very minute. Interesting.

However, while on their honeymoon in sunny Mexico, Eddie is disappointed in Lila: they do not like the same music, she refuses to use sunblock (causing an ugly sunburn), the sex she enjoys is too wild for him, and she does not like making trips by boat and on land, instead she just wants to relax on the beach. Also, in the past she has used cocaine, which has caused trouble with her nose, and instead of having a high-paying scientific job she turns out to be a volunteer, and in debt. Also the "robbery" at which they met was actually her ex taking back his own belongings.
Honeycured was laughing at the part they were driving to Mexico. Kasi naman I AM like that. I sing to everything. haha!!

The movie is so-so for me. There were funny moments, there are scenes that would just drag...and of course the sex part was edited out. Di ko tuloy na gets yung part na yun!

Overall, it was ok. At least nakapag nachos ako. I really love the nachos they serve in movie houses (here in Dubai ha, ewan ko sa ibang lugar)

Fast forward to this week.

One afternoon, while in the car, nagrereklamo si Honeycured. Masakit daw ang kanyang throat. So I told him baka magkaka trangkaso, blah blah blah. Kasi naman weather is changing, at saka he's got rhinitis something.

Anyways, he then said:

honeycured: "Di kaya meron akong deviated rectum?"

I looked at him and he was serious.

me: "bakit mo naman nasabi?"

honeycured: "eh pareho nung sa asawa ni ben stiller sa movie, kasi yung ilong ko...blah blah blah..."

Sorry, I wasn't able to catch what he was really saying. I got stuck sa part na tinuro nya yung ilong nya.

me: "DEVIATED SEPTUM yun!! not rectum..."

Honeycured: "Ay oo nga! San galing yung rectum?"

Goodness! Si honeycured talaga minsan lang hihirit...panalo naman! Connected naman sa heartbreak kid.

The silver surfer and Tikoy

We went to watch F4 - The Rise of the Silver Surfer last night.

Of course it wouldn't be complete without NACHOS!

Loved the movie, loved the food!

-------------------------------------->

It was around Feb when I said this to Pam:

Me: I want tikooooy!!!

Pam: Sa Binondo yata madami nun.

Me: yeah!! If only Binondo is just a jeepney ride away from Dubai.

Pam: ay oo nga no? http://planetsmilies.net/happy-smiley-585.gif

So just the other day somebody gave honeycured some tikoy. Its better late than...later! http://planetsmilies.net/happy-smiley-585.gif
