SAVE Life Unexpected!!

I learned about this series from my ever reliable tv addict friend and I got hooked! I was able to watch 10 episodes in 3 days. I love the story. One can easily relate to the story and I love the banter! And of course, BAZE!!

Unfortunately, Lux's story might get cut short. :(

As for those CW fan faves, I'm still hearing from reliable insiders that it's likely Life Unexpected and One Tree Hill will get shortened season pickups for fall, with 12 or 13 episodes apiece; however, no final decisions have been made.

A Weird Night

Two nights ago we were going to meet a business partner at her house. However, this is the first time we'll be going there. This is unfamiliar territory for me. Originally, the plan was to meet at 8 pm, but, of course, at the last minute she called us up to say that we have to be there at 7:30.

Ohhh the pressure!! As expected, we couldn't find the way. The instructions were unclear.

"Go straight, if you see Rotana, take left. Round about right. Straight"

 First, which road do we take? And which Rotana? There are like three Rotana's in that area. We turned left but there was no round about....what now?

It was already 8 and we still have not found our way. We just decided to meet at the mall. Once in the parking, I took a parking ticket/stub so I'd know where I put my car. Coz by gaaaaad!! We're already late, we can't afford to lose the car in the middle of this huge parking lot!

Anyway, that's exactly what happened. I lost my car! Yep, even with the stub. I so hate that mall!! Took me about 10 minutes before I found it. Apparently there was a "mezzanine" for every floor. The reason why I can't find my car is because the elevator does not stop at these mezzanine floors. Gaah!

My business partner rode with us so that we won't get lost trying to find her house again. The meeting went fine. But when we went to her garage, my front tire was flat! Susme lang talagang kamalasan. Since these are "locals", we didn't even expect them to help. Its already 12 MN. And so for the very first time nagpalit ako ng gulong! (I changed the tire with a little help from my little cousin! LOL)

But of course, when I was all done, the spare tire is also flat! It's such a cruel joke, universe!! I had to drive really slow till we got to a petrol station and had some air pumped. 

Despite the weirdness, it was a good night.

I would like everyone to know that they have apologized for their actions and this is all I need. I wish for everyone to forget about this issue and let's start with a new slate.

I also hope that this experience taught us something.

ate miss na miss na talaga kita...
yung paguusap natin sa gabi kahit gusto nanating matulog...yung pagbabake...pagsusulatan ng notes sa fridge...yung pag ssslide sa kutson sa may hagdanan...yung mag lalaba at paglalaru ng tubig...yung pagtambay sa bubong habang nakikinig kay alanis...yung pagcocostume, maglilinis lang naman...paglalaru ng red allert...pag kain ng burger sa ever...pagpunta kila te aga and ate ai...yung pag gulong gulong natin habang nakikinig ng theme song ng bubblegang...pangungulit kay tatay...pagcoconcert para mangistorbo ng kapitbahay...pagpapaligo ng mga kuting...pagpunta ng spa, comedy bar and starbucks...pamimili ng damit...pagsama sayu sa paggym mo kuno(hehe)...paginom ng mainit na taho sa umaga...panonood ng movie (mayinuwi si nanay, si nanay sa bahay)...pagpipicture picture...pagaantay ng masasakyan sa kalye...

Firsts

It was my first time to drive the car alone. Imagine me in front of the steering wheel, trembling.

"juskupo juskupo juskopo juskopo! santa maria, santa ana, santa lucia, santa clause!!"

Well, I did manage to get to work without any damage. I even got to park the car properly! Now, I'm soooo loving the feeling of not having to wait under 31 C heat (minimum!) and try to flag down a taxi with smelly drivers who almost always tries to convince me to be their "friend".

Another first was the use of pivot charts/tables. I know, I know, mababaw lang ako eh! Di ko pa kaya na try mag gawa ng presentation with graphs! From now on, I'll do everything in pie charts! LOL.

Lost in... Hong Kong

No, I didn't get lost in HK. I wish I did.

It was honeycured who did the world tour. Yep, world tour.

It started before christmas. He went to visit his mom in England. After staying there for two weeks, he had to make a quick stop here in Dubai before taking a flight to Manila and then going back here on the same day. He was supposed to arrive 5 a.m. and then go straight to work. That was the plan.

But he got off loaded in Dubai. So the short stay became a day. He was able to get the next flight out but missed the flight going back. Kamusta naman ang leave extension? So, he stayed in Manila for another night. Take note, walang dala gamit si honeycured except for his toothbrush and travel documents.

So ayun, nag try siya sumakay ulit but no luck. He really really needs to go back coz it's been 2 days na, he needs to report to work. So what he did was, sumakay ng flight pa Hong Kong, thinking that there are 2 flights going to Dubai from there. Pero sadyang malupit ang tadhana kay honeycured. Na offload na naman!

It was already 12 midnight, he can't send sms' for some reason, no flights until the next day, no cash! He was in panic. He sent me an email telling me to call him. So ako din panic! What was I supposed to do? He can't do anything with his toothbrush, his lo-bat pda and his lo-bat credit card! haha. I can sense his fear already. Pinagpapatayan na daw siya ng lights sa airport! haha

Luckily I was able to contact my good friend Czen. She offered her house. Ayun, honeycured had to rush sa train station coz last trip na daw yung 12:48.

All the while, Czen and I were chatting. She assured me that everything is going to be ok. So I called honeycured again to check kung nasan na siya.

Honeycured: "nandito na ako"
me: "saan?"
H: "dito, sa 11th floor. nagdo door bell na ako"
me: "nyeeh!! sa 4th floor sila Czen."
H: "hala kaninong bahay to?!"



So bottomline, nakarating naman siya sa bahay nila Czen. Nakita ko pa siya sa webcam, kamusta naman ang pagka dugyot?! Yung yellow shirt nya mukhang orange na. Yung pimples nya may face na at super haggard ang ichura. At least fresh breath siya, thanks sa toothbrush!

Czen took good care of honeycured. Till the last minute. And she also sent some stuff for me!

Honeycured was able to get a flight back the next day. It was really an experience. The flight he took was via Bangkok.

H: "Dadaan pa kami ng Bangkok..."
Me: "ok, what's the ETA?"
H: "5 am. Eh kung bumaba kaya ako dito sa Bangkok?"
Me: "Cheh! mag tigil ka, wala na ako kilala sa Bangkok!!"
