A Zombie

I'm still so tired from my trip to Manchester that I have been going to the office with this really dead look on my face. To sum it up:

28 Dec 06 - flight from Dubai to Manchester 1:15 pm (Dubai time). I still had to go to office and work...or try to. I'm excited about this trip that I couldn't concentrate (as if I had a lot to do..). I left early so I can catch my flight.

We arrived in Manchester at about 6:30 pm (local time). We waited patiently at the baggage collection area for our luggage until there were just about 3 groups of people left. Yep. We lost one bag. I had to report it, fill in some forms and then drive off to Birkenhead. By the time we got home, finished dinner and had some wine, I was ready to hit the sack.

29 Dec 06 - off to London. I woke up at around 5:30 in the morning so I could help around the kitchen. We prepared something to take with us, it was a five hour drive after all. We arrived in Plaistow at about 12 noon. Oh my guard! I think I just saw another side of town that is very familiar to me. I guess this is the "middle east town"...just like chinatown but instead of chinese people, they've got Pakistanis and Indians...and Filipinos. Pretty much like Dubai.

We were at Harrods by 2 pm. It was crowded!! The only thing we did was have lunch and look at pretty stuff. I couldn't even buy because it was like a jungle out there! You have to push and shove everyone out of your way just to get to the cashier. It wasn't worth it really. Even on sale, the items are still expensive for poor little me.

Anyhow, we met up with my friend and then we went to Covent Garden. Had dinner and some drinks then off to my friends' house and managed to lock myself up inside the bath. After that we watched TV, talked for a bit and then slept. Early in the morning we went back to Plaistow, had lunch and then drive back to Birkenhead. We arrived around 8 pm, 30 Dec 06.

31 Dec 06 - New Year's Eve Party. I woke up really early coz we were supposed to go to Chesire Oaks. But then, plans changed. So while they were doing their own stuff, I was stuck at home and did some cleaning. When they arrived, I helped set up the fish tank and then off shopping. It was 6 pm when we arrived home, prepared food and set up the mood for new year's bash.

1 Jan 07 - flight back to Dubai 1:15 pm (local time). Yep, no sleep. The effin plane was late. The blankets smelled like it wasn't washed for 3 years and I was beside and Indian mother with her little baby! No sleeping for me...

I arrived Dubai 2 Jan 07 at 2 AM. Took a nap and then went to work. See, I am a zombie.

So to make up for the lost time, I slept the whole day this weekend. Well actually, I did my Beverly Hills 90210 marathon and then slept for a couple of hours. I continued my marathon, cooked pasta, had a very nice warm bath and then gave my nails some tender loving care. I finished 3 remaining episodes while eating my dinner. And now I'm blogging about it and its already 12:30 in the morning. I guess I'll still be a zombie tomorrow. bleach!

ps. you might be wondering why this entry doesn't have any pictures in it.... well, seeing my schedule above, I didn't have time to take my camera out of my bag the whole time I was there. I might be able to post some pictures when Honey comes home tomorrow.
