This is the view from the second floor of my uncle's house in the Philippines. Their house is ancient. The type that you would see in movies. Two story house with big capiz windows, antique furnitures and new establishments around that gives the house a very "old" aura.
We were visiting that day and my lola was just preparing lunch. I looked out the window and nostalgia hit me. We used to live just across the street. Every christmas we would go to this grand house and get our aginaldo from our relatives. Those were the good times.
I remember playing just around that corner....
